Custom Envelope Printing UAE

Custom envelopes help invoices, letters, quotations, invitations and corporate documents arrive with consistent company branding. Blue Oasis supports A4, A5, DL and other envelope requirements based on the required paper, print colours and document size.

A4 or A5 envelopes: what should you check first?

Start with the complete contents, not the size label. Measure the finished document or card, decide whether it must stay flat, and include any extra sheets or inserts. Then confirm the envelope’s usable pocket, opening and closure before approving artwork.

An “A4 envelope” or “A5 envelope” description may refer to the document it is intended to hold. It does not, by itself, confirm the envelope’s external measurements or the space available inside.

1. Decide what goes inside

Use these examples as a briefing checklist, not a guarantee that a particular envelope will fit.

Compare the contents before choosing the envelope
What you are sending What to check
An A4 document that must remain flat Confirm a pocket that accepts the full sheet and the complete document pack without forcing it.
An A4 letter folded to A5 Check the folded size and thickness. An A5-format option needs enough usable space for the folded pack.
An A5 card with an extra insert Test both pieces together, including any sleeve. A sheet-only size check is not enough.

Compare the A4 envelope printing page and A5 envelope printing page, then ask the team to confirm the exact finished specification for your contents.

2. Confirm the pocket, flap and paper separately

Ask for the external dimensions, usable inside space and opening side. A physical sample is useful when the pack contains several sheets or a thicker card. Check that the contents slide in and out and that the flap closes normally.

Paper weight is a separate decision. A specification such as 120 GSM describes paper mass per area, not the pocket dimensions or how many sheets fit inside. Confirm the paper type, including whether wood-free paper is intended, and the printing method for the actual order.

3. Check artwork against the assembled envelope

Identify the front face, flap, seams and sealing area on the approved template. Confirm which areas can be printed before placing a logo near an edge. If a window is required, check its size and position against the actual folded document; do not assume the address will line up.

Request a proof showing orientation, logo placement and the intended text. Use a blank or redacted insert for a fit or window-position example rather than sharing private correspondence.

4. Send a clear envelope brief

  • Finished insert dimensions and whether it stays flat or is folded.
  • The number of sheets and any card, sleeve or other item included.
  • Envelope dimensions or a sample, opening side and window requirements.
  • Quantity, paper preference, print colours and artwork.
  • Required date, so the team can check feasibility before confirming the order.

For a coordinated set, browse the printing and stationery hub. Confirm fit first, then approve paper, print layout and the final proof. Historical specifications and catalogue descriptions do not establish current stock or production timing.

Envelope size and fit FAQs

Is an A4 envelope the same size as an A4 sheet?

No size label alone confirms that. An envelope intended for an A4 document needs usable space for the contents. Ask for both external and usable internal measurements, and check the complete pack rather than ordering by the label only.

Can I put an A4 letter into an A5 envelope?

It may be possible when the letter is folded to A5 and the usable pocket accommodates the folded pack. Confirm this with the actual contents or a sample. If the letter must remain flat, choose an option checked for the full A4 document.

Does 120 GSM tell me how many documents an envelope holds?

No. GSM describes the paper’s mass per area. Capacity also depends on the usable pocket, envelope construction and the thickness of the contents. Test the assembled pack and closure before confirming the specification.

What should I check before choosing a window envelope?

Confirm the window dimensions and position, the document’s folded size, and where the intended text sits when inserted. Check that unwanted information is not visible and that the address stays in the window when the contents move.
